GEN-FIND Research conducts services in the following areas, all of which the applicable services fees may be ordered and purchased through its GENStore:
Your personal researcher will endeavor to follow all leads he or she finds as well as those provided by our clients in their submissions, in order to develop or expand on their existing genealogical/family history information. The charge-out for this class of service will include the research time and the report compilation time. In addition, the client will receive a complimentary Pedigree Chart and revised Family Group Charts (on the directly affected families found or revised during the given search period) to summarize the report's findings as we see them. On non-urgent cases, our approximate response time on our research reports will be approximately three months from the receipt of your letter and documented material, but this will depend greatly upon our existing contract backlog at the time and the desired reporting requests of the client. All estate work receives priority over family history research.
Search and extraction of civil registered birth/baptism, marriage/divorce, death/burial records as recorded by municipal/district/state/provincial/federal governments.
Determination of the proportion of settlement of estate residuals to identified valid beneficiaries and heirs based upon relevant jurisdictional legal codes for the case.
Comprised of written and/or graphic presentations of compiled genealogies either on research our firm as undertaken for the client or that which the client has previously developed. As a result, this will entail various computer-generated Charts, Family Group Listings, Graphic Pedigree & Ancestral/Descendancy Charts. As well, it will include word-processing preparation of Genealogy Anthologies and/or Family Histories. These requests can be included with your Research Services contract or as stand-alone requests. They will be charged out, however, in addition to any contract service you have requested and will be according to our current price schedule at the time. For examples and specifications of the charts we provide, please ask for our printed Chart/Word- Processing Exhibits brochure.
Our consulting services are normally limited to one hour and this service is intended only to provide clients with another perspective on problems with their own research and suggestions of methodologies for potentially improving their genealogical success on this particular set of problems. No active research of the pedigree(s) will be undertaken but will be limited to suggesting sources and methodologies the client may resort to in continuing the research on their own. Our response time will be approximately three weeks from the receipt of the documented request, unless the work is for an estate in which case priority will be given. Please refer to our Research Assessment Service.
GEN-FIND researchers have undertaken numerous local, national and international speaking engagements and will be happy to do so for your organization should you be interested in a lecture for a seminar, conference, or luncheon. Write to us with your intentions, scope of the intended lecture(s) as well as further details, and we will discuss with you your intended audience and our fee & contractual arrangements.
Regardless of the care taken in researching and documenting linked-lineages, an Estate Administrator always runs the risk of civil litigation due to future claims by untraced descendants. Missing Beneficiary Insurance provides a form of security to beneficiaries and the estate, in general, over earlier account distributions that are later determined to have not accounted for, what at the time were, unknown or untraceable but linked lineages that may have also determined into the distribution equations earlier on should they have been known. GEN-FIND will endeavour to seek whatever bonds/insurance can be provided.
Search and extraction of other specific genealogically relevant source records for proving/disproving lineage linkages.
